The Park girls golf team shot a season-low 185 to take fifth place in its nine-hole Suburban East Conference match last week at Highland National Golf Course in St. Paul.
Stillwater ran away with first place with a 165, ahead of second-place East Ridge (182) and Mounds View and Woodbury, which tied for third (184). The Wolfpack finished ahead of Forest Lake (188), Roseville (189), Hastings (191), Cretin-Derham Hall (197) and White Bear Lake (197).
Park sophomore Anna Keys led the way for the Wolfpack with a 40. Keys was followed closely by a pair of eighth graders - Lexi Hofsetter shot a 44 and Annika Hein shot a 47. Senior Joelene Dittman rounded out the Wolfpack’s top four with a 54.
Prior to the match at Highland National, Park placed ninth at the Stillwater Country Club on Monday, April 23, with a score of 207. Keys had a team-low 44 in the match, followed by Dittman (52), Hoffstetter (56) and Hein (56). Stillwater won the match with a 163.
Park had conference matches on Monday, at North Oaks Golf Club, and Tuesday, at White Bear Lake Yacht Club, after the Bulletin went to press. Next up, Park travels to Forest Hills Golf Club on Monday, May 7.
