Park girls golf: Wolfpack opens season, takes ninth at Prestwick

The Park girls golf team opened the season by kicking off Suburban East Conference play on Thursday, April 19, at Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury. Park started off well, finishing in ninth place with a 219 in the 10-team, 9-hole tourney.

Park sophomore Anna Keys led the way for the Wolfpack with a 47. Eighth-grader Lexi Hofstetter carded a 52 for Park’s second-best score. Senior Joelene Dittman shot a 55 and eighth-grader Brooke Strenke turned in a 65 to round out the Wolfpack’s top four scores.

Stillwater shot won the meet with a 161. Cretin-Derham Hall’s Celia Kuenster earned medalist honors with a 37. The Wolfpack competed in SEC meet No. 2 on Monday at Stillwater Country Club. Next, Park returns to conference play at Highland National Golf Course in St. Paul today.
