St. Paul Park police reports for April 27

Reported criminal activity included thefts, a domestic incident and assault.

Theft

A St. Paul Park woman reported April 8 that someone stole two pairs of sunglasses ($300 total) from her vehicle while it was parked in the 1700 block of Selby Avenue.

A St. Paul Park man reported April 7 that a coin purse and radar detector were stolen from his unlocked vehicle parked in the 900 block of Hastings Avenue. Loss is estimated at $95.

An Oak Park Heights man reported April 7 that his son’s dirt bike was stolen from a garage in the 1100 block of Fourth Street in St. Paul Park.

A Cottage Grove woman reported April 7 that her purse was stolen from a vehicle parked in an alley behind the 1000 block of Lincoln Avenue. Items stolen included $20 cash, checks, bank cards and other personal items.

A St. Paul Park woman reported April 7 that someone entered her vehicle and stole $2 in change while the vehicle was parked in the 900 block of Hastings Avenue.

A St. Paul Park woman reported April 5 that someone stole about $10 worth of gasoline from a vehicle parked in the 700 block of Summit Avenue.

Super America gas station, 545 Summit Ave., reported a $51 gas drive-off April 5.

A St. Paul Park woman reported April 4 that she believed her roommate stole $50 from her pillow case.

A Vergas, Minn., man reported April 2 that someone stole four aluminum truck tire rims from the back of his truck while it was parked at Park Grove Bowl, 1020 Hastings Ave. The rims were valued at $638 each.

A St. Paul Park woman reported April 2 that a cellphone was stolen from her residence.

Intoxicated man

Newport police transported a man to a St. Paul Park home before 5 a.m. April 7 after he was confrontational with a security guard at Northern Tier Energy, 201 Factory St. The man reportedly was intoxicated.

Police were called to Super America gas station, 545 Summit Ave., before 2 a.m. April 6 on a report that an intoxicated man was bothering customers. A clerk knew the man, later identified as a Cottage Grove resident, and asked police to call his mother for a ride.

Domestic

Police were called to a home in the 1200 block of Fourth St. at about 3:45 a.m. April 7 for a verbal fight between a St. Paul Park woman and a South St. Paul man. The woman said she was upset because the man was drinking and gets annoying when he drinks. The man said he was told to bring alcohol to the residence and didn’t know why the woman “flipped out.” The two split up for the night. No arrests or citations issues.

Assault

Police were called April 5 to a home in the 1000 block of Eighth Avenue for a domestic assault. A man had been transported to a Maplewood hospital, and it was alleged that his girlfriend had hit him with a glass vase and metal rod. The man also had bite marks on him. The incident was under investigation.
