Cottage Grove police reports for April 25

Reported criminal activity included thefts, property damage, disorderly conduct and underage drinking.

Theft

A Cottage Grove resident reported March 30 that a portable air compressor was stolen from a garage at the residence in the 7300 block of Homestead Avenue. Loss: $240.

A Cottage Grove man reported March 31 that 8690 East point Douglas Road, reported March 31 that a gift card was stolen.

Holiday gas station, 8101 Hadley Ave., reported a $14 gas drive-off April 4.

A Cottage Grove resident reported April 4 that a grill was stolen from outside a residence in the 7600 block of Hinton Avenue.

Property damage

Four landscape lights and a mailbox were damaged at a home in the 8800 block of Grospoint Avenue, according to a March 31 police report. Damage totaled $70.

A Woodbury man reported March 31 that a vehicle was keyed while parked in the 9000 block of Indian Boulevard. Police have possible suspects. No damage estimate provided.

A Cottage Grove man reported April 4 that his garage in the 9100 block of Jareau Avenue had been struck by paintballs.

Shoplifting

Kohls, 7990 Hardwood Ave., reported April 1 that a 16-year-old St. Paul Park girl stole $110 worth of clothing. She was referred to the Youth Service Bureau.

Menards, 9000 East Point Douglas Road, reported April 4 that 39-year-old Cottage Grove man stole merchandise. He was cited for shoplifting and traffic offenses.

Landscape rock, a sign and other property was vandalized with graffiti in the 10000 block of Grey Cloud Trail. The damage was reported to Cottage Grove public Works April 3.

Underage drinking

Two Cottage Grove girls, ages 13 and 14, were referred to the Youth Service Bureau on April 4 after the school reported to police that the girls had been drinking.

Disorderly conduct

A 15-year-old St. Paul Park boy was given a juvenile ticket for disorderly conduct after police received a report April 3 of two students fighting at Park High School.
