Getting a jump on spring

With sun shining and temperatures reaching the mid-60s on Sunday, people were out walking, running, fishing and playing sports.

South Washington County residents found many ways to enjoy the warm weather over the weekend.

With sun shining and temperatures reaching the mid-60s on Sunday, people were out walking, running, fishing and bicycling. The Park High School tennis courts were in use, playgrounds were buzzing and people were relaxing in parks.

Mississippi Dunes Golf Links opened for the year on Saturday, and River Oaks Golf Course planned to open Thursday.

It may be hard to believe but it isn't even spring yet. Spring begins March 20.
