A Cottage Grove couple are inviting area residents to participate in a community health and weight-loss program.
Jane and Jake Haagsman have started a business venture selling products that are part of MonaVie’s “Rvlution” weight-management program. In conjunction with that business they are planning a community health program with a goal of seeing Cottage Grove residents lose 20,000 pounds this year.
“A lot of people want to lose weight but they don’t know how to get started,” said Jane Haagsman, adding: “Communities of people doing things together have a great success rate.”
The Rvlution kickoff event begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 and goes until noon at the Cottage Grove National Guard Armory, 8180 Belden Blvd. The event is open to the public. There is no admission fee, but participants can sample products that will be available for purchase. Haagsman said Mayor Myron Bailey is supporting their community health effort.
