AN ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF COTTAGE GROVE, MINNESOTA, AMENDING TITLE 5, CHAPTER 4, SECTIONS 1 THROUGH 3 OF THE COTTAGE GROVE CITY CODE RELATING TO ANIMALS

The City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 896, an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF COTTAGE GROVE, MINNESOTA, AMENDING TITLE 5, CHAPTER 4, SECTIONS 1 THROUGH 3 OF THE COTTAGE GROVE CITY CODE RELATING TO ANIMALS." This summary of the ordinance is published pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 412.191, subd. 3.

The ordinance amends and adds administrative hearing procedures for dogs designated as potentially dangerous. The officer making the determination shall inform the owner of the owner's right to an administrative appeal. The ordinance establishes that members of the public safety commission convene as a hearing panel to hear the appeal.
