Brad J. Swanson, 48

Brad J. Swanson, age 48, of Cottage Grove, Minn., passed away Nov. 18 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Brad will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, son, and friend. Brad loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting, was a long-time baseball coach for his boys, adored watching his daughter play basketball and softball, and thoroughly enjoyed his dogs, Bosley and Bessy. He and his wife, Kathy, were happily married for 25 years. He will be deeply missed, but we know he is watching over us.

Survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Sam, Tom, and Molly; parents, Bob and Carol Swanson; sisters, Tami Dunlap and Tracy (and Jason) Tauber; in-laws, Don and Jane Hennen, Kim (and Scott) Wagner, Kris (and Dave) Schoenthaer, Joe (and Jane) Hennen; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove. A private family service and burial will be held Tuesday.
