The latest to enter the race was School Board member Jim Gelbmann of Woodbury, who filed for re-election Thursday morning.
Board members Leslee Boyd of Woodbury and Ron Kath of Cottage Grove filled out their campaign paperwork Tuesday, the first day of the filing period. Another Cottage Grove resident, Steve Lagoon, also filed to run for one of the three seats.
Katie Schwartz, of St. Paul Park, added her name to the list of candidates early Wednesday.
The election is Nov. 8.
Candidates must be 21 years old by Jan. 1, 2012 and have lived in the district for at least 30 days before the election.
Packets containing information about becoming School Board member, including affidavits of candidacy and campaign manuals from the Secretary of State’s Office, are available at the District Service Center, 7362 East Point Douglas Road in Cottage Grove from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. The filing deadline is 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16. There is a $2 cash filing fee.

School Board members are paid $4,800 annually plus an additional $50 monthly stipend for mileage and supplies.
