Overview

South Washington County School District 833 serves more than 17,000 students from preschool to 12th grade and local residents throughout their lives. South Washington County Schools is the sixth-largest district in the state. It continues to grow and provide quality programs and learning opportunities for its communities.

Student enrollment

Students new to the district should enroll as soon as possible by going to the Student Information Office in the District Service Center at 7362 East Point Douglas Drive, Cottage Grove. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m weekdays.

Parents of children under 4 years old should get them listed in the district’s database. Classes are available for 4-year-old children at all district elementary schools.

Pathway to Excellence

After a five-year run, South Washington County Schools has adopted a new strategic plan: Pathway to Excellence. The new plan involved all stakeholders in the district from parents and staff members to the administration in planning the future success and continuous improvement of the district.
