Homemade firework sparks bomb squad visit in Cottage Grove
An explosive device left on a Cottage Grove sidewalk drew a visit from the St. Paul bomb squad.
An explosive device left on a Cottage Grove sidewalk drew a visit from the St. Paul bomb squad.
A passerby found what looked like a live homemade firework on a sidewalk in the 8800 block of Ironwood Avenue and called police about 10 a.m. July 5. Not knowing what the object was, Cottage Grove police asked for assistance from the St. Paul Police Department bomb squad. The bomb squad removed the object. There were no injuries.
Cottage Grove police had not yet received information about the object, according to a police report.
