District 833 teams got to see how they stacked up against Suburban East Conference competition last week at Prestwick Golf Club.
Of the three teams in the district, East Ridge (202) came out on top with a fifth-place finish. Woodbury (205) followed with an eighth-place showing, while Park (279) finished in 10th.
Ten teams competed in the conference match, with Cretin Derham Hall (182) winning first place.
Individually, Woodbury’s Mary Sweeney recorded a 43 on the day. Teammate Natalya Thakur carded a 49 for the nine-hole round.
East Ridge golfer Andriel Aimua topped her team with a 48 on the day. Molly Richardson tied for second on the squad with Celina Spencer. Both Raptors finished with a 51.
Park’s Anna Keys carded a 52 on the day to lead her team.
The match followed a non-conference meet earlier in the week, where East Ridge finished seventh of 21 teams at TPC Golf Course in Blaine.
Woodbury was tenth in that meet, but Sweeney earned medalist honors with a second-place finish. She carded a 77 in the 18-hole meet.
Meanwhile Richardson’s 87 represented her best round in her two years on the team, said East Ridge coach Brad Rekstad.
“I’m seeing some definite improvement on the team,” he said.
