Statewide tornado drills held Thursday
Tornado sirens will sound at 1:45 p.m. and 6:55 p.m. as part of a state-wide tornado drill.
It may not be summer yet, but Minnesota public safety officials want people to think about what they'll do when severe weather strikes.
Thursday marks Tornado Drill Day in Minnesota, part of the week-long Severe Weather Awareness week put on by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. Tornado sirens will sound at 1:45 p.m. and 6:55 p.m. as part of a state-wide tornado drill.
There were 113 reported tornadoes in Minnesota in 2010.
