What a hoot: Oltman students get up close with birds of prey

The Wild Bird Sanctuary of St. Louis, Mo., swooped in to visit seventh-grade students at Oltman Middle School.

The Wild Bird Sanctuary of St. Louis, Mo., swooped in to visit seventh-grade students at Oltman Middle School on Monday. The presentation, organized by the Carpenter Nature Center in Denmark Township, included an educational show about birds of prey, including a Bateleur eagle, hooded vulture and white hawk. Above, Cathy of the Wild Bird Sanctuary presents a Tawny owl to the students.
