The New Life Academy girls soccer team proved triumphant in the only game it played last week to increase its winning streak to six games.
The Eagles (7-2 overall, 3-1 MCAA) maintained pace in the Minnesota Christian Athletic Association race by means of a 3-2 win over Southwest Christian (4-5-1, 2-3) at the Bielenberg Sports Center.
Individual statistics were not available.
What was scheduled to be New Life’s second game of the week, another MCAA matchup at Bethany Academy on Thursday, Sept. 23, was called on account of rain and was rescheduled to be played on Tuesday, Sept. 28, after the Bulletin went to press.
Prior to that game, the Eagles were slated to play West Lutheran (3-6-3, 0-2-2) on Monday, Sept. 27 at Bielenberg after press time.
New Life plays Legacy Christian Academy (1-7-3, 1-3-1) at Meadow Creek Christian on Thursday, Sept. 30 and is also slated to travel to play St. Paul Preparatory (record unavailable) at McMurray Fields on Friday, Oct. 1, before hosting Mounds Park Academy (6-4-1 overall) at Bielenberg on Saturday, Oct. 2.
The Eagles will close out the regular season at Bielenberg against current MCAA leader Providence Academy (9-2, 5-0) on Monday, Oct. 4 before commencing play in the conference tournament later next week.
