Celebrating fall at St. Rita’s

It was impossible not to find something interesting to do at the St. Rita’s Catholic Church Fall Festival in Cottage Grove on Sunday.

It was impossible not to find something interesting to do at the St. Rita’s Catholic Church Fall Festival in Cottage Grove on Sunday.

Most festivals and fundraisers have silent auctions, but St. Rita’s held a live one on Sunday afternoon. From exercise equipment to a kitchen stove, there was plenty to bid on while eating a funnel cake or one of the baked goods on sale.

Highlights for the children included a petting zoo, cake walk and games with prizes.

And it turned out to be a lovely sunny fall day even though the forecast called for cloudy and cold weather.
