Between holiday picnics, south Washington County families can choose from firework displays, parades, carnivals and campfire programs.
Washington County Parks will feature reptiles and raptors in two separate campfire programs, both set for 7:15 p.m. on Saturday evening, July 3. The programs are free; parking is $5 per vehicle.
The following cities have scheduled firework displays and other activities for Sunday, July 4.
Cottage Grove: 6 p.m., family picnic, 7 p.m. kids games and food at Kingston Park, Indian Boulevard and 75th Street, fireworks at 10 p.m.
Woodbury: 7 p.m. at Ojibway Park, 2695 Ojibway Drive; food, Express Band and fireworks display
Afton: Parade starts at noon; vendors, kids games, and music in Town Square Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Oakdale: Tanner’s Park, at dusk, fireworks display
Lake Elmo: parade and ice cream social bginning at noon
Hastings: fireworks at 10 p.m. at Hastings Country Club, 2015 Westview Dr.
Stillwater: musically choreographed fireworks display at dusk, downtown Stillwater over the St. Croix River
Hudson: parade, carnival, food, music, games beginning at 11 a.m. in downtown Hudson at Lakefront Park, First Street; fireworks display at dusk
