On March 27 Whirlwind Ministries held a Spaghetti dinner fundraiser, and we went to the community businesses to help us sponsor the event. When they heard the success of the ministry affecting people’s lives, the dynamics of the ministry, and the different guest speakers testifying about the success of the ministry, the community businesses graciously helped in sponsoring the event! Our guests had a great time. They had fun, they laughed, they cried, they were encouraged, and the food was delicious!

Whirlwind Ministries would like to express our gratefulness to: Carbone’s Pizzeria of Cottage Grove, Bella’s Pizza, Simek’s Easy Meals & Parties, Tinucci’s Restaurant & Catering, Aldi’s of Mahtomedi, Perkins Restaurant of Cottage Grove, SuperMom’s Bakery, Cub Foods, Rainbow Foods, Seliga’s Autobody, Catch-A-Tan in Cottage Grove and Hastings Creamery Dairy Store. We thank you for your willingness to support us and your contributions to our fundraiser!

Whirlwind Ministries is a Christian ministry whose first mission is to work with men and women who are incarcerated in our state and county correctional facilities. We are in the county jails ministering about four times a week, and in the state prisons monthly. Also, we are currently partnering with the Union Gospel Mission in St. Paul and ministering to the men three times a week that are residing there. Working in these facilities we are providing Christ-centered services, Bible studies, biblical anger management classes, damage emotion classes and working relationship classes. We also provide mentoring relationships.

All of our workers and our leadership of Whirlwind Ministries are volunteers. We are not supported by another church or another organization.

In the last year we acquired a ministering center called Sonrise Ministering Center located at 7955 Ivystone Ave. S., on the corner of 80th Street and Jamaica Avenue in Cottage Grove. On Tuesday and Thursday evenings we provide our services and Bible Studies for our community. Celebration of Praise Church formerly in St. Paul Park has partnered with us to provide Sunday services for our community.
