East Ridge hires new football coach
East Ridge High School announced Wednesday afternoon that Mike Pendino has been hired as the school’s new head football coach.
East Ridge High School announced Wednesday afternoon that Mike Pendino has been hired as the school’s new head football coach.
Pendino, who served as the offensive coordinator for the Raptors during their inaugural season, has 25 years of coaching experience, including eight years as the head football coach at the Academy of Holy Angels, in Richfield.
Additionally, Pendino spent six years as a collegiate level assistant coach at the University of Minnesota.
He is also director of security on the East Ridge High School campus.
Pendino replaces Ray Betton, who parted ways with East Ridge in February to take the top football job at Holy Angels.
A meet-and-greet event with Pendino is being planned for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 29 at East Ridge High School.
