Police say victims of a St. Paul Park stabbing left the scene before officers arrived; no arrests madeBy: Toni Lambert, South Washington County Bulletin
St. Paul Park Police are investigating a stabbing that took place early Wednesday at an apartment complex on Fifth Street.
Chief of Police Mike Monahan said police responded to the report of an altercation at 1120 Fifth Street at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The responding officer discovered large amounts of blood in the complex’s common area and in the parking lot, he said.
“It appeared that a 33-year-old male from St. Paul Park and a 30-year-old male from Woodbury, and possibly more, were involved,” Monahan said.
He said the responding officer determined that both men were no longer on the premises. In an attempt to locate them, the officer contacted area hospitals and found one man had been treated at Regions Hospital.
Monahan said no arrests have been made, and because the case is still under investigation, no names would be released.
