Letter: Public sector jobs matter, too
Denny, listen to yourself and think what it means to “reform state government.”By: Allan Paul, Cottage Grove, South Washington County Bulletin
Editor’s note: This was written in response to a letter sent out by Rep. Denny McNamara by e-mail. The contents of the letter appear on today’s opinion page.
Denny, listen to yourself and think what it means to “reform state government.” It means that you are talking about giving the governor the blessing to cut jobs. With all that you said about jobs being lost and real income decreasing, our jobs are just as important as the private sector. When our agency talks about cost cutting, it means the GMWs (custodians) will not get the positions that were lost previously. Shame on you! Take your reform and cut the wages of the state workers making over $50,000 a year.
