‘Give to the Max’ day to benefit local charities

Those who donate on Tuesday, Nov. 17 to Minnesota charities including Stone Soup Thrift Shop and the Washington County Historical Society will have their contributions matched.
To get the match, the donation must be made through the Web site GiveMn.org, and must occur between 8 a.m. Nov. 17 and 8 a.m. Nov. 18.
The St. Paul Foundation, Minneapolis Foundation and Bush Foundation have committed $500,000 in matching funds, and to cover all transaction fees so that 100 percent of the contributions go to the organizations, according to the GiveMn.org Web site.
