Weekend CG police reports

The following incidents were recently reported to the Cottage Grove Police Department:

Two 14-year-old males were referred to the Youth Service Bureau following a fight at Woodridge Park around 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30.

A 16-year-old was cited for failure to yield following a property damage car accident at Jamaica Avenue and Hillside Trail Friday, Oct. 30.

A 35-year-old Cottage Grove resident was arrested Saturday, Oct. 31, in the 8900 block of Greystone Avenue for interference with a 911 call and fifth-degree domestic assault. Officers were called to the residence after a 911 hangup call.

A resident in the 8300 block of Foothill Road reported Saturday, Oct. 31, that two diamond rings with a total value of about $5,000 were stolen. Police have a suspect and are investigating the theft.

A 24-year-old Cottage Grove resident was arrested for fifth-degree domestic assault, fifth-degree assault and offending a police officer Saturday, Oct. 31, in the 8600 block of East Point Douglas Road. The intoxicated man was involved in a domestic assault and the assult of two other victims.

A resident in the 9600 block of Hames was awoken at about 12:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, to the sound of someone trying to get into their home. The resident got up, and saw more than one person trying to jump over the fence into the neighbor’s yard. No entry was made, and no damage was done. Police were unable to locate the suspects.
