A complainant left a wallet at the self-checkout line at Rainbow Foods Thursday, Oct. 22, and found it was gone upon return to the store. The wallet contained a driver’s license, check card and credit card.
A resident in the 7200 block of Jewel Avenue reported Thursday, Oct. 22, that someone used a charge was made on her check card in Florida without permission.
An amplifier, two subwoofers, a BMX bike, two snowboards, two skateboards and an iPod with a total value of $2,000 were reported stolen Friday, Oct. 23, from an attached garage in the 1100 block of Lockridge Avenue. The service door to the garage was unlocked.
A purse and cell phone were stolen from the front seat of an unlocked vehicle in the 9700 block of 85th Street Place. The owner of the vehicle was stopping at to pick up an item at the residence.
Three juvenile males were charged with violating curfew and disorderly conduct near Keats Avenue and 85th Street after drivers reported to police they were throwing corn at passing vehicles Saturday, Oct. 24. The juveniles also threw corn at the police squad car.
Someone reportedly used two counterfeit $20 bills Saturday, Oct. 24, at Rocco’s Pizza.
A purse containing an iPod, checkbook, camera and credit cards was stolen from a vehicle in the 9300 block of Hamlet Avenue Sunday, Oct. 25.
An unoccupied house in the 10000 block of 70th Street was reported broken into Sunday, Oct. 25. There was no loss because the house is set to be demolished.
A high-school aged complainant arrived to their home in the 8200 block of Hyde Lane to find two men in the garage who had forced entry Tuesday, Oct. 27. The men fled on foot and got into a small, two-door, black car. Some property stolen from the home was recovered in the yard of the residence, such as a netbook computer. An iMac computer, Playstation 2 with controllers and a camera were stolen from the home. Police are investigating the incident.
A resident in the 7300 block of Irvin Avenue reported fraudulent activity on their checking account. The bank had said two manufactured checks were cashed.
A car reported it was struck by a semi truck near Highway 61 and Jamaica Avenue, and the semi did not stop. The Cottage Grove Police Department transferred the call to the Minnesota State Patrol.
