Melvin F. Burdorf, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, from terminal cancer at his home in Cottage Grove, Minn.
Melvin is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia; daughters, Barbara, Diane (Greg) Thielen, Deborah (Jeff), Amy Stanton; son Robert (Lynda); five grandchildren; and sister, Ruby Kopp.
Melvin served in the Korean War, and was an insurance salesman for a majority of his adult life. In his retirement years he was a bus driver for ISD 833 and a night time roving supervisor.
A Celebration of his Life will be at St. Luke's, Hastings, Minn., at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22. Visitation one hour prior at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
