Heritage Days Committee recruiting members
Planning committee for St. Paul Park's summer festival in flux as it searches for new leader and membersBy: Toni Lambert, South Washington County Bulletin
The St. Paul Park Heritage Days Committee is recruiting for a new chair, co-chair and several other open slots, it was announced at a meeting Monday.
Ruth Dinger, who has led the committee for the past six years, is retiring, and co-chair Jim Domeier will step down to devote all his energies to the Heritage Day Royalty program, a separate non-profit organization.
The committee is also looking for a new treasurer and someone to organize the annual car show.
Mark Duffy, in charge of the two-day mud volleyball tournament, has not decided whether to remain on the committee, he said.
Next year’s outhouse races will continue to be chaired by Willie Tennis, and Cherie Rumpca will organize the Saturday morning parade.
