While working at a rental property in the 8500 block of Jeffrey Avenue, a complainant reported that a $200 radar detector was stolen Friday, Sept. 11, from their unsecured vehicle.
Three juvenile males admitted to urinating and defecating on the floors of the bathrooms in the Hearthside Park Warming House Friday, Sept. 11. They were cited for vandalism and disorderly conduct, and one was cited for having tobacco. All were referred to the Youth Service Bureau.
A pickup truck tried to turn around and ended up hitting a light pole at the corner of Hadley Avenue and 90th Street Friday, Sept. 11, and then drove off. A witness described the truck, as an older, lifted pickup truck but police could not locate it.
Police responded to a call of a possible fight in the 7900 block of 72nd Street at about midnight Friday, Sept. 11. They determined there was no fight, but rather intoxicated adult males leaving a party. One of the males had asked a female also leaving the party for a hug, which she gave him, but then he refused to let go, even after others leaving the party had tried to release her.
A Garmin GPS device and Olympus digital camera with a total value of $210 were reported stolen Saturday, Sept. 12, from an unlocked vehicle in the 8200 block of Jewel Avenue.
A $200 radio was reported stolen Saturday, Sept. 12, from an unlocked vehicle in the 9300 block of 83rd Street.
Following a report of a suspicious male in the area of Hames and Hamlet avenues around 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, an officer observed a man who admitted to possession of a pipe and four small baggies of marijuana.
A resident in the 7500 block of Ivystone Avenue reported Tuesday, Sept. 15 that jewelry was missing from his home. The resident suspected a renter who was living in the home.
A resident in the 8300 block of 110th Street reported Tuesday, Sept. 15 that someone attempted to break in to a detached garage. Nothing was damaged or stolen.
A an officer was dispatched to the 8400 block of Hilo Trail to respond to a physical domestic incident Tuesday, Sept. 15. A male had choked a female, and left the area in a white van. The woman had visible strangulation marks on her neck. The man was arrested on Highway 61 on charges of domestic assault and DWI pending a formal complaint.
A man went inside Walgreen’s to get a prescription filled around 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, leaving the vehicle he was riding in unlocked, and when he returned to the car his laptop had been stolen from it. The laptop had been sitting on the back seat of the car.
A radio faceplate valued at $75 was reported stolen Wednesday, Sept. 16 from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 8300 block of Indian Boulevard.
A parent reported their daughter’s $300 bicycle was stolen Wednesday, Sept. 16, from Park High School while the girl was attending a football game.
