Anniversary: Ortons

Doug and Doris (Starch) Orton, who have lived in Cottage Grove 50 years, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 8. They were married in Nerstrand.

Doug is retired after serving 39 years in the Minnesota Army National Guard attaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer W4 as a personnel officer for the Adjutant General of Minnesota.

Doris is retired from the State Capitol Credit Union where she was the manager of the real estate loan department.
