A resident in the 6900 block of Homestead Avenue got a phone call from an unknown female around 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, telling him that she had found his checkbook next to the parking lot at St. Luke’s church. He then discovered someone had entered his unlocked truck and stolen a Gander Mountain credit card, Cabela’s credit card, $300 in cash, a radar detector, GPS device, 40 miscellaneous gift cards, five Menard’s gift cards and an Applebee’s gift card. Total loss was $1,200.

A resident in the 9700 block of Hamlet Avenue reported that between 3 and 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, someone drove off the road into their yard striking the recycling bin and leaving skid marks in their driveway.

A man and woman were arrested for fifth-degree domestic assault Monday, Aug. 31, following an incident in the 8600 block of Iden Avenue.

A resident in the 8200 block of Homestead Avenue reported Monday, Aug. 31, that a family member was fraudulently using their credit card to make transactions in El Paso, Texas.

A $160 bicycle was reported stolen Monday, Aug. 31, from Park High School while its owner was in football practice.

Police are investigating a burglary in the 8200 block of Lamar Avenue that occurred Tuesday, Sept. 1. Two men with weapons entered a residence, and took a cell phone and television. Police believe the incident was related to a dispute over drugs.

A silver iPod valued at $150, $50 cash and a prescription medication were reportedly stolen from an unlocked van overnight between Sunday, Aug. 30, and Monday, Aug. 31, in the 9400 block of Jergen Place.

A $300 bicycle was reported stolen Tuesday, Sept. 1, from Cottage Grove Junior High School while the owner was at football practice.

A check card stolen from Woodbury was reportedly used at Target in Cottage Grove Tuesday, Sept. 1, to make a $350 purchase.

A microphone and movie projector were reported Tuesday, Aug. 1, from a car parked at Hinton Heights apartments. The theft reportedly occurred between Sunday, Aug. 23 and Sunday, Aug. 30. The complainant didn’t remember if the car had been locked, but there was no sign of damage to the vehicle.
