The garage of a home in the 8600 block of Grospoint Avenue was reported burglarized Monday, Aug. 3, and two radio-controlled cars and spare parts were stolen.
Someone reported Monday, Aug. 3 that three fraudulent transactions of $400 each had been made from their Merchants bank account.
Someone reported Monday, Aug. 3, that $1,661 was fraudulently taken out of their bank account to purchase ski equipment.
A bicycle left outside valued at $150 was stolen overnight between Sunday, Aug. 2, and Monday, Aug. 3, from the 7300 block of Irvin Avenue.
An upset customer at Menard’s drove through the store’s gate, causing $50 to $100 damage and then drove recklessly through the store’s parking lot nearly hitting a pedestrian Monday, Aug. 3. Robert Wilkinson, 55, of Newport was cited with damage to property and reckless driving in connection with the incident.
Two 17-year-old juvenile females were arrested and issued citations for shoplifting from Kohl’s Monday, Aug. 3.
A BMX style bicycle valued at $250 was stolen from Zion Lutheran Church Monday, Aug. 3.
A car in the 9700 block of 77th Street was smeared with frosting between midnight and 5 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4.
Xbox 360 games and accessories, other items and money were reported stolen Tuesday, Aug. 4, from a home in the 9800 block of 78th Street. The complainant said his teenage child had been home alone over the weekend, had visitors over, and after that he noticed the items were missing. Items reported stolen include five video games, a memory card, rechargeable batteries, wireless controllers, airsoft guns and cash with a total value of $373.
Timothy J. Hudalla, 43, of Cottage Grove was cited for theft of a wallet Tuesday, Aug. 4.
Police responded to a possible car fire on the 80th Street ramp off of Highway 61 Tuesday night. The car was not on fire, but overheating. Police ran the driver’s record and found he was driving with a revoked license.
A car stereo was reported stolen Tuesday, Aug. 4, from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 9300 block of Hamlet Avenue.
