The Friends in Need Food Shelf would like to thank everyone for the wonderful postal drive. We received 25,000 pounds of food! We are so blessed to work in such a generous community.
Our school supply program is underway. If you would like to donate school supplies, please drop them off at the food shelf on Tuesdays or in the Friends in Need box in Cub’s exit foyer. We still need folders, colored markers, colored pencils, glue, pencils (mechanical and regular), pens and filler paper. If you would like to receive school supplies and live in Cottage Grove, Newport, St. Paul Park or Grey Cloud Island, please come to the food shelf at 255 Third St., in St. Paul Park on Wednesday, Aug. 19 between 4 and 6:30 p.m. You do not need an appointment but you do need a picture ID and a current bill. Rides are not provided, so plan ahead. If you have any questions about school supplies, please call Barb at (651) 459-5169.
We are also in need of brown paper bags. They can be brought to the food shelf on Tuesdays or put in the box in the exit foyer at Cub.
Thank you so much for all of your amazing support!
