National Guard announces deployment of 82 Cottage Grove-based soldiers to Iraq
Eighty-two soldiers from the Minnesota Army National Guard's 204th Area Support Medical Company, headquartered at the armory in Cottage Grove, will leave Minnesota for training on July 11 for a one-year deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, according to a press release.

Support Medical Company, headquartered at the armory in Cottage Grove, will leave Minnesota for training on July 11 for a one-year deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, according to a press release.
The company will provide medical support throughout Iraq. The unit will
be responsible for patient care to coalition forces as well as medical
management, administration, logistics and maintenance within Camp Bucca and
surrounding operational areas, according to the press release.
