Wedding: Shellum - McRae

Cori Lynae Shellum and Joshua Earl McRae were married Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, in Austin, with the Rev. Karen Behling officiating.

Cori Lynae Shellum and Joshua Earl McRae were married Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, in Austin, with the Rev. Karen Behling officiating. A reception after the ceremony was held at the Holiday Inn Select in Austin.

Colleen Shellum served as maid of honor with bridesmaids Shannon Niemeier, Alyssa Sahli, Stefanie Hansen and Kayla McRae. The junior attendant was Claire Sandkuhler.

The best man was Nathaniel Flan and groomsmen included Jason Denzer, Grant Schnell, Josh Wieland and Blake Pawlikowski. Tyler Bredlow was junior groomsman.

Trygg Bredlow served as ring bearer and flower girl was Ava Denzer. Mike Sundberg ushered.

Cori, the daughter of Donald and Kathy Shellum, of Cottage Grove, is a kindergarten teacher at Woodson Kindergarten Center with the Austin Public Schools. She is a 2001 graduate of Park High School, a 2006 graduate of Winona State University with a double major in early childhood education and kindergarten through sixth-grade elementary education. She received a master’s degree in education from Winona State University in 2008 and is working toward elementary principal’s licensure through Minnesota State University—Mankato.

Josh is the son of Lynnette McRae of Maple Grove and Donald McRae of Edina. He is a 1999 graduate of Long Prairie High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Minnesota—Twin Cities Campus. He has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and will receive his master’s of education in August 2009 from the University of Minnesota. Josh is also employed by the Austin Public Schools in the Woodson Kindergarten Center.

The couple will live in Austin.
