A neighborhood meeting for homeowners who live on Ashland Avenue between Pullman and 10th avenues, on 11th Avenue from Laurel to Holley avenues, and on 10th Avenue from Laurel to Holley avenues has been re-scheduled for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, at St. Paul Park City Hall, 600 Portland Ave.

City engineer Jeff Roos will explain the 2009 street rehabilitation project to those homeowners, whose streets were recently added to the project. Homeowners will have an opportunity to ask questions and learn approximately how much they will be assessed for the work.

A public hearing on the entire project plus the new streets is scheduled at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 4, at city hall. At 7 p.m., the council will hold a second public hearing on assessments to homeowners.

The council is expected to award the contract on May 4, said Kevin Walsh, city administrator. Construction is slated to begin in mid-June.
