CG council to vote on wind turbines, newspaper boxes

Cottage Grove City Council members will vote Wednesday on proposed amendments to the city’s wind turbine ordinances, changes that include requiring the operators of a wind turbine in a commercial or residential area to obtain a permit for their construction. The council will also vote on a proposed amendment regulating the location of newspaper boxes and will hear from the city engineer on a summer project that will construct roadways in a pair of unfinished housing developments in northern and southern Cottage Grove.
