A Minneapolis man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly using a stolen check to buy a vehicle from East Side Auto in St. Paul Park.

Calvin M. Williams, 27, was charged with committing the same crime he is now accused of at East Side Auto in 2005, said St. Paul Park Police Investigator Kyle Lindquist.

Williams allegedly bought a 1998 Cadillac with a value of more than $5,000 from the shop, located at 805 Main St., on Feb. 9 using a check that was stolen from a business, Lindquist said.

He was picked up by the Minnesota Highway patrol, and is in jail on pending forgery and theft charges.
