St. Paul Park Public Works employee Joe Jackson was reading meters Monday near Portland and Hastings avenues when he nearly stepped on this white turkey.

“I never saw anything like it,” Jackson said. “The turkey wasn’t afraid of me, it didn’t attack. It just casually strolled around the yards and eventually disappeared.”

On Saturday, the same turkey was seen near Lincoln and Hastings avenues.
