Ethel R. Smith, 88

Ethel R. Smith, born July 4, 1920, died February 28, 2009.

Preceded in death by her husband John; daughter Rose Marie; and son-in-law Leonard.

Survived by her daughters Gloria Krueger, Nancy Schauer, Darlene (Ronald) Krueger; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister Loraine (Grayden) Moorhouse; and many other family and friends.

Ethel was a member of the WWII Ladies Auxiliary VFW 6845 and was a Past President and Past Fourth District President.

Funeral service is Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. in Cottage Grove. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Internment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
