Friends in Need Food Shelf, in St. Paul Park, only has a few weeks' worth of large brown bags remaining, said food shelf director Michelle Rageth.

"Volunteers pack food in brown bags every Tuesday for clients," she said.

'We use to help 40 or 50 families on Tuesdays," Rageth said. "But now it's up to 152."

Brown bags can be left in the drop box at Cub Foods, in Cottage Grove, or in the barrel at the food shelf's front door, at 255 Third St., St. Paul Park.
