Letter: Make time for development

Life is busy, even hectic at times. When the schedules get muddled, we try to simplify and slow down.

Life is busy, even hectic at times. When the schedules get muddled, we try to simplify and slow down. So why am I writing this testimonial to encourage you to add the Women’s Business Development Group monthly meeting to your list of priorities? Because if you’re like me, I have the need to continue growing, learning and expanding my network of business and personal contacts. I am new to the Cottage Grove area as is the company I work with, Werner Electric Supply. The information and services I have acquired through networking at the business development group have been invaluable to me, as well as my fellow co-workers and our company. I look forward to the meetings each month as I learn from business experts on topics relevant to business development — topics like, women in leadership, what it takes to lead and succeed, Web site optimization, sales skills, professional organization and office technology. If you are a business owner, manager or in a leadership role in your company, you need to see for yourself. Meetings are the third Friday of each month from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Norris Square/Presbyterian Homes. Join me, I know you’ll find the time well spent! Contact the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce for more information about the Women’s Business Development Group at (651) 458-8334.
