Green garden award-winners chosen

Cottage Grove City Council members on Wednesday handed out the city’s second annual Green Garden Awards to commercial winners Cottage Grove Animal Hospital and residential winners Richard Voita and Linda Strachota.
Cottage Grove’s summer landscape architecture interns judged the six residential and three commercial nominees on their creative landscaping. The winners will receive a roughly 80 pound monument stone, a smaller version of the city’s large monument signs.
