Freddie V. Larson, 51

Freddie V. Larson, 51, of Cottage Grove, passed away on July 11, 2008 at Woodwinds Health Campus in Woodbury following a short illness.

Memorial services were held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the Kok Funeral Home, Saint Paul Park with the Reverend Dr. Mark Winkler officiating. Friends called after 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial was in Cottage Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Freddie Larson was born September 1, 1956 in Moorhead, Minnesota, the son of Fredrick Eugene and Verna Fern (Hogetvedt) Larson. He was raised in Saint Paul and graduated from Mechanic Arts High School. Freddie worked as a bartender for Dick and Mary’s and later Dean’s Tavern. He most recently worked for the Lillie Newspaper in distribution. He particularly enjoyed fishing, working on cars and he loved kids.

He is survived by his eight sisters; Aloha Waller, Maureen Breiland, Sherry Wasick, Sondra Anderson, Kristine & Jody Larson, Francine (Bill) Stephenson, Wendy (Gary) Larson-Hickcox, his brother, Kirk, also many nieces and nephews, his significant other, Juanita Goebel and her children; Raymond, Jovita (Corey), C.J. & Joey and Nicholas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
