Letter: Soldier says ‘thanks’

I just wanted to send a huge thank you to my longtime neighbors and friends, Jack and Carol Lavold. During this past year I was deployed to Kuwait with my Minnesota Army National Guard unit. It never failed that every month I received a care package, which included the weekly Bulletin Newspapers they had saved for me, as well as all of my favorite snacks! As I prepare to head home, I will not have to worry about missing out on what has been happening in my hometown since Jack and Carol took such good care of me and kept me “in the know.” I just wanted to let them know how much I appreciated their kindness and how much I am looking forward to seeing them! Thanks so much!
