Wolfpack pride

Before last week, Park High School football fans did not have a lot to cheer about because the Wolfpack had lost all its conference games. But that came to a halt Friday night. The Wolfpack howled to a 49-21 win over Bloomington Kennedy topping off Spirit Week for Homecoming.

The week started off early with the crowning of Ashley Mayer as homecoming queen and Mike Weber as king on Monday morning.

They, and their court of queen and king candidates, reigned over a week that included a coed Volleyball tournament, band showcase, pep fest, talent show, dance and carnival.

Before the football game, a sea of green-decorated floats and people were in a parade that started at Kingston Park in Cottage Grove and ended at the school. A rain shower didn't seem to dampen the Wolfpack spirit as many pirates could be seen on floats and marching in the parade.
