Halloween events galore are on tap in the area this weekend.

Halloween events take place all over south Washington County this weekend along with a spaghetti dinner at the Accacia Masonic Lodge in Old Cottage Grove, the traditional parade sponsored by the Cottage Grove Strawberry Fest Committee, to a party with your pet.

The Cottage Grove Strawberry Fest Committee is hosting its third annual Monster Bash party from 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, at the VFW Post 8752 Red Barn, 9260 East Point Douglas Road.

Families are invited for a taco dinner, dance, silent auction and costume contest.

Carpenter Nature Center in Denmark Township invites preschoolers and a parent or guardian for a Costumes and Critters story time from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29. Children, 2 to 5 years old, will hear a story, create a craft and take a hike outdoors.

Storyteller Roy Edward Powers will tell tales of ancient customs and visitors will learn what's at the heart of our "most primitive holiday," from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, at Carpenter Nature Center in Denmark Township.

Districts 833's Early Childhood Family Education and School Readiness Parent Advisory Council invite preschool children and their parents to attend "Monster Mash 2010," from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, at Woodbury High School, 2665 Woodlane Drive.

The staff at Park Grove Pet Hospital along with Chuck & Don's, La Pooch Salon, Dogs at Play and the WAG Farms Dog Park Association are hosting a Halloween party for area animals and their owners from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, at Park Grove Pet Hospital, 7663 79th St., in Cottage Grove.

Accacia Masonic Lodge, 11094 70th St. in Old Cottage Grove, is hosting it's annual all-you-can-eat spaghetti and meatball dinner from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30.

Families are invited to the Great Pumpkin Party from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Woodbury-Peaceful Grove United Methodist Church's Cottage Grove campus, 8600 90th St.

The community is invited to a party on Saturday, Oct. 30, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, at the corner of 70th Street and Hinton Avenue in Cottage Grove.

The congregation will celebrate God's harvest with worship at 5:18 p.m., followed by a party, including a light dinner, games, contests, crafts, treats and prizes.

With the help of friends and neighbors, John Kruczek has created a haunted cemetery in his front yard and garage complete with costumed ghouls and goblins. Everyone is invited to stop by from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31, at 7485 Jordan Ave. across from Grey Cloud Elementary School in Cottage Grove.

Christ the Lord Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove will host its annual Trunk or Treat event from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31.
