MEXICAN FIESTA -- The PTA at Grey Cloud Elementary School, in Cottage Grove, is hosting a Mexican Fiesta and theme basket raffle from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20. Everyone is welcome to attend. Dinner will be served until 6:30 p.m., followed by the basket raffle drawing. The cost is $5.50 per adult and $4.50 per student, 4 years and older.

MOTORCYCLIST PARTY -- Anyone interested in motorcycles and motorcycle rights is invited to the mid-winter party and membership drive of the St. Croix Valley Riders , beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Cottage Grove VFW Post 8752's Red Barn, 9260 East Point Douglas Road. There will be free beer, pop, pork roast and potluck dinner, door prizes and live music by Stock Car Named Desire. The charge is $5 for members and $8 for nonmembers. Annual dues are $12. GIRLS HOCKEY BREAKFAST -- Members of the U12B girls hockey team are serving pancakes, eggs, hash brown potatoes and sausage from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Franke's Big River Bar and Grill, in Prescott, Wis. Tickets are $6. Kids wearing a Cottage Grove hockey jersey will be eligible for prizes. Parents can bid at the silent auction. MARDI GRAS AT ST. THOMAS AQUINAS -- The Victorian-era Washington County Historic Courthouse, 101 West Pine St., in Stillwater, is the backdrop for the 9th annual Stillwater Bridal Affair, scheduled from 12 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22. Area providers of food, cake, invitations, wedding attire, photography, music and flowers will be on site to showcase wedding products and services. Admission is $7.50 at the door. All proceeds will be used for restoration and operation of the Courthouse.

INTERNET SAFETY SEMINAR -- Detective Timothy Harris of the Washington County Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Mary Gale, SAFE coordinator will discuss "Internet and Text Messging Safety: U av d ryt 2 feel safe" from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, at Lake Junior High School, Woodbury. The cost is $8 per person. Harris and Gale will offer safety tips to assist parents in dealing with the on-line world and how to set age-appropriate limits and boundaries for children. TASTE EXTRAVAGANZA -- This year's Taste of South Washington County will feature 14 area restaurants, live music and a silent auction from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Oltman Junior High School, 1020 Third St., St. Paul Park. The taste extravaganza is hosted annually by the South Washington County Schools Education Foundation, which supports staff initiated innovative programs throughout District 833 schools. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students. Kids, under 5 years, eat free.
