AFTER HOURS NETWORKING -- Ruby Tuesday's, 7350 Hardwood Court, Cottage Grove, is hosting "The Chamber Connection," an after-hours networking forum from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 24. Members of the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, their employees and business people interested in learning more about the Chamber are welcome to attend.
ICE CREAM SOCIAL -- The annual ice cream social at Community United Church of Christ, 1145 Summit Ave., St. Paul Park, is scheduled from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 24. Yes, there will be ice cream and also homemade cakes, pies, hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks.

JUGGLER AT NEWPORT LIBRARY -- Bill the Juggler will entertain families with his jokes and juggling expertise beginning at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 25, at Newport Library, 405 Seventh Ave. All are invited to participate.
STREET DANCE GOLF BENEFIT --The 3rd annual Heritage Days Festival four-person golf scramble, organized to keep the festival's street dance alive, is scheduled for Friday, July 25, at River Oaks Golf Course, Cottage Grove. The quick start format begins at 11:30 p.m., and organizers say there is still time to participate. The cost is $85 per person, which includes golf, cart, shirt, door prize, beverage, a steak or chicken dinner and silent auction. MEET REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES -- Senate District 57 Republicans are hosting a pork and waffle breakfast from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at Highland Park, 70th Street and Idsen Ave., Cottage Grove. All are welcome to attend. Candidates for the state House of Representatives, Cottage Grove mayor and city council have been invited. Tickets are $5 per person.
SUNDAY, JULY 27
POOL CARNIVAL -- Cottage Grove Parks and Rec Department and the Southeast Area YMCA will host a carnival at the city's municipal swimming pool from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 27. The event is free and open to the community.
MONDAY, JULY 28
SAFETY CAMP FOR LITTLE KIDS -- The aim of this year's Safety Town Camp is how to be safe in everyday situations. Children entering kindergarten this fall are invited to attend the camp, which is sponsored by District 833 Early Children Family Education and scheduled from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, July 28 to Aug. 1, at the District Program Center, 8400 East Point Douglas Road, Cottage Grove.
