Three arrested in Cottage Grove for drug violations
Three people were arrested or cited for alleged drug violations following a Jan. 4 traffic stop in Cottage Grove.
A police officer on routine patrol shortly before 8 p.m. stopped a vehicle for a moving violation after observing what appeared to be a possible drug transaction, according to the police report.
Subsequently, a 29-year-old Anoka man was arrested on suspicion of fifth-degree possession of controlled substance after he allegedly was found with methamphetamine. The case was referred to the Washington County Attorney’s Office for possible charges.
A 22-year-old Anoka man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and no driver’s license, and a 22-year-old Elk River woman was ticketed for possession of drug paraphernalia.
