Thomas Pederson, 54
Thomas Pederson, 54, formerly of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly at his home in North St. Paul, on May 8, at the age of 54.
He was born Dec. 20, 1959, in Fergus Falls, the son of Richard and Maxine Pederson. They moved to Cottage Grove in 1976. After his graduation from Park High School in 1978, he joined the U.S. Army until November 1985 achieving the rank of Sergeant, serving in Germany and Korea at the DMZ.
He was an avid fisherman, competing in the National Bass Fishing Competition. He also enjoyed camping, hunting deer and wild turkey.
He was preceded in death by father, Richard; and sister, Cynthia Cerney.
Survivors include sons, Nichoelas, Richard II, James and Levi; and five grandchildren; mother, Maxine Pederson, sister, Randina (Paul) Hurtt; brothers Kevin (Chrystina), Jeff (Tammy), and Cory (Kathryn); several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, at All Saints Lutheran Church, 8100 Belden Blvd., Cottage Grove, with a visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
