Strawberry Fest Medallion Hunt Clue No. 5
The Cottage Grove Strawberry Fest Medallion Hunt continues today with Clue No. 5:
Descend on Woodridge, one searcher and all
Don’t balk at this hunt, it should be a ball
Parks and fields, they’re both called fair
It’s safe to poke around this animal’s lair
The medallion hunt is co-sponsored by the South Washington County Bulletin and Edina Realty-Cottage Grove. The Bulletin will post successive clues online at 9 a.m. daily. Clues also are posted daily at 8:30 a.m. at Edina Realty-Cottage Grove, 8475 East Point Douglas Road. The clues also are available by calling 651-458-6532.
The medallion always is hidden on public property in Cottage Grove.
Finding the medallion will net the winner $300 with proof of a 2014 Strawberry Fest button, or $200 without the button.
The winner must bring the medallion to the South Washington County Bulletin office, or to Edina Realty-Cottage Grove, for confirmation and photos to be published in the Bulletin. The Bulletin office is at 7584 80th St., Cottage Grove. If the medallion is found outside of business hours, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Participation rules: You must be 13 years or older, or accompanied by a parent or guardian. Employees, agents and family members of Edina Home Services and the South Washington County Bulletin are not eligible. The medallion is the property of the Bulletin.
The 2013 medallion was hidden near the Ravine Parkway bridge between Cottage Grove City Hall and the Washington County South Service Center.
Here are previous clues:
The search returns for another great year
So bring on the fun, bring on the cheer
We started the hunt earlier this time
Stick near some fields, no hills you need climb
When seeking the prize, consider 61 a guide
Sticking to the east is a tip to abide
The loot is stashed on public lands, you’ll see
But near a lake is not where the medallion shall be
It’s Day 3 of the hunt, so find your stride
Giving up so early is worthy of chide
Time to dig in, eye the challenge at hand
Leave shovel behind, you’re not moving sand
If it’s small treasure that you’re after
Don’t linger near festival laughter
Jamaica’s not far from this hiding place
Think year-round fun at a city play space
